The views of the Texas Hill Country on both the front and the back of the house are phenomenal.

This wonderful Casa is located only a few blocks from Mason’s downtown shopping and restaurants high on a hill overlooking the downtown area and beyond. Found across the street from Fort Mason this property is part of the original grounds of the fort and was called the “parade grounds”……..simply meaning this is where the soldiers practiced their marching. There are old foundations throughout the property that actually were a part of the fort over 100 years ago. The views on both the front and the back of the house are phenomenal.

Although Casa Guadalupe is over 100 years old it has been completely restored inside and out. The long front porch with comfortable twig seating creates a special place to enjoy nature and the views of Mason and the countryside. Across the street is Fort Mason, which is open to the public. Inside is breathtaking with the large open living/dining room and fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable seating is found in the living room all placed to watch the TV/DVD (although there is no reception, some movies are left). The dining room has a round leather Mexican table and four chairs. Bright, airy and efficient is how you will find the kitchen. It is complete with a gas stove/oven, large refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and tea kettle. The many features in the house are both unique and creative including the concrete floors border with wood and the tile created from sliced native stone in the bathroom. A bedroom is found on both sides of the living/dining room. Each bedroom offers a firm king bed and private bath with shower.

The backyard is full of relaxing treasures. In the little brick house in the back yard is a washer and dryer. Enjoy the firepit on those cool crisp and cold nights. A gazebo has seating to enjoy drinking coffee or a glass of wine. Deer are fed in the back yard, which will give you a chance to see wildlife of all kinds.
